There has been much said about\u00a0Alejandro Aravena.<\/p>\n

It seemed to start 10 years ago when he was asked to building housing for 100 families in his home country of Chile. His inspired solution to this complex problem came from working with the families themselves. Rather than the traditional large building with small units he built half-homes that each family could expand on. Listen to\u00a0Mr. Aravena speaks eloquently to his philosophy in his TED Talk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Over the years he refined and expanded on these designs to address the issues of more sustainable and livable urbanization recognized in\u00a0the receipt of this years Pritzker Prize for Architecture<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Upon receiving this well deserved recognition at the United Nation<\/a>, he made available through his studio, Elemental, without charge,\u00a04\u00a0of his designs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His honors don’t stop there for 2016 as it was announced he would be the\u00a0the director of this years 15th Venice Biennale for Architecture<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His career in full swing I look forward to seeing what comes out of this brilliant mind in the years ahead.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
